Ran the gravel square before breakfast. Wind behind me on the first stretch, which should have warned me not to feel so pleased with my pace. Coming home I had to lean into it and could feel the cold on my front teeth every time I opened my mouth. My legs were fine. Breathing took more work than usual, partly because I was trying to keep the same pace as the easy side. Stood by the mudroom door afterward with my shirt warm and damp under the jacket. Didn't look at the phone until I'd got my shoes off. Mostly because my fingers were too cold to operate it.

No clube de leitura disseram que a personagem principal era egoísta por sair de casa sem avisar os filhos já adultos. Concordei na altura, mais por hábito do que por ter pensado bem, e agora não consigo largar aquilo. Se um homem da mesma idade fizesse a viagem sozinho, estaríamos todas a discutir o telefonema que não fez? Também não gosto quando os meus filhos desaparecem sem dizer nada, por isso não me estou a colocar acima da questão. Apetece-me voltar à conversa, mas sem fazer um discurso de professora. Já tenho a página marcada e o livro na carteira, pronto para uma discussão que provavelmente só existe na minha cabeça.

休みの日にKと買い物してたら、ゆっくり歩く方が意外と腰にくるなと思った。教室ではしゃがむ、立つ、支えるってずっと姿勢が変わるけど、店の棚を見ながら同じ側に鞄かけてたからやと思う。途中で持ち替えて、足裏に体重を乗せ直したら楽になった。Kがすぐ何か言いそうな顔したから、分かってますーって先に返した（笑）。家ではいつものストレッチを短めにして、床に寝転んだまま天井見てた。何もしてないと眠くなるの早い。運動して疲れた日とは違うけど、こういう日もお腹は普通にすく。

بنت بالصف اللي أتدرب فيه كانت ترفض تقرا قدام رفيجاتها، فقعدت يمها وقلنا نقرا بس بصوت نسمعه إحنا. عقب شوي رفعت صوتها بروحها وأنا حدي استانست، كنت أبي أصفق لها بس خفت أخلي الكل يطالعها فترد تسكت. قالت لي قبل لا أمشي باچر إنتي موجودة؟ مو يوم تدريبي باچر، واضطريت أقول لها لا. ضاق خلقي من نظرتها مع إني أدري عندها أبلتها ومو واقف اليوم علي، بس حبيت إنها تنطرني. رديت السيارة وأنا أبي أحچي السالفة حق أمي كلها، حتى الغلط اللي قرته البنت أول مرة، مو عشان أضحك عليها، عشان أمي تفهم شكثر حاولت 🤍

A música nova não sai da minha cabeça, mas não é a parte inteira, só um pedacinho antes do refrão que a gente errou no ensaio. Fico marcando com a mão enquanto arrumo as prateleiras e às vezes troco a ordem das caixas porque tô contando o tempo em vez de olhar o rótulo. Meu primo acha que falta uma pausa, eu acho que a gente entra apressado porque todo mundo gosta do refrão. Ouvi a gravação no ônibus e o barulho de uma moto cobre justo essa parte, documento histórico perfeito kkk. Tentei mandar um áudio explicando e ficou só eu cantando mal. Ele entendeu, pelo menos disse que entendeu, domingo vamos descobrir se a pausa melhora ou se só estamos inventando dificuldade.

Une cliente a demandé si c'était moi qui avais fait les croissants du dimanche, parce qu'elle les trouvait vraiment bons. J'ai dit oui et merci, puis j'ai repris mon travail comme si ça arrivait tout le temps. En vrai ça m'a fait plaisir pour toute la matinée. J'en ai parlé à mon copain le soir, il m'a dit que je pouvais quand même avoir l'air contente quand on me le disait. Je sais, mais devant les collègues j'ai peur de faire la fière pour un truc qui est juste mon boulot. Pourtant quand une fournée est ratée, je trouve tout à fait normal d'en parler longtemps. Là je garde le compliment, même si je sais pas trop quoi en faire sur le moment.

we're reading a novel in english where everyone keeps not saying the one thing that would explain the problem, and i wrote 'just ask her' in the margin about six times before noticing i have spent two weeks rearranging perfectly normal sentences to the boy who runs our light board. i can tell forty people to be quiet but apparently 'do you want to hang out when we aren't doing a show' needs a committee and several drafts. still think the book could lose eighty pages. i'm not sending anything tonight because he'll see me checking for a reply at rehearsal and then i will actually have to move schools

Sunday cooking took longer because I made extra chakli for Aai. By the third batch my palm was sore from pressing the dough and there was flour sticking inside my bangles. Sasubai told me to sit. I said this much is left only, then realised I had been standing in the same place since tea. Sat at the table to fill the next press. Much easier on the legs. The kitchen was warm and I had tied my hair too tightly, so loosening it was a relief. Ate one broken piece while it was still hot. Crisp outside, slightly soft in the middle. I was hungry without having noticed it. Lunch had been ready for everyone except me.

Je suis restée immobile au bord du pré bien plus longtemps que prévu, sans fusil, simplement pour regarder ce qui allait sortir. Au bout d'un moment le froid a traversé mes chaussures et j'ai commencé à bouger les orteils, très discrètement, comme si les bêtes pouvaient m'en tenir rigueur. La chienne, restée à la maison, aurait trouvé cette sortie parfaitement inutile. En reprenant le chemin, mes cuisses étaient raides sur les premières enjambées, puis la marche m'a réchauffée assez vite. J'aime cette chaleur qui revient sans radiateur ni effort violent. Devant la porte j'ai gardé les mains autour du bol de café, encore incapables de tourner facilement la clé.

Je tourne autour d'un couplet en portugais enregistré sur mon téléphone, surtout d'un mot que je n'arrive pas à remplacer sans déplacer toute la phrase. En français je sais expliquer ce que je veux dire, mais ça devient long, on dirait que je justifie quelque chose à un client. En portugais ça tient dans le rythme et ça me paraît presque trop familier pour être une chanson. J'ai essayé les deux versions à voix basse, puis une troisième avec un mot français au milieu, franchement affreuse. Personne n'attend cet enregistrement, c'est l'avantage et le problème. Je peux passer ma soirée sur quatre lignes sans qu'on vienne me dire : bon, celui-là est prêt, on le rend.
