晚上教舞队新动作，转身那一下我自己也转反了，还好意思喊后排跟上，大家笑得音乐都听不见！跳热了把外套脱下来，胳膊一伸是真得劲，不像窗口坐着，想动还得等手里这张单子办完。新动作得蹲，我没蹲那么低，膝盖这事没必要跟年轻人争，站前头也不是非得样样都做最大。散了往家走，小腿有点胀，上五楼我扶着栏杆慢慢来，刚才在楼下可没觉得楼有这么高。老王开门问今天咋回来晚，我说跳错了又练一遍，他笑我也会错。会错咋了，明天还照样领！

Старшая прислала фотографию: внук в Хабаровске собрал порт из коробок, над одной бумажный кран. Подписал, что это у деда на работе. Мне понравилось, показал сменщику, потом ещё мужикам в курилке, хотя сам не курю. Дочь говорит, он полвечера клеил, маленькие коробочки из-под чая специально собирал. Я ему записал, что хороший терминал, место под машины оставлено правильно. Теперь жду, что ответит. Телефон на кухонном столе лежит, а я из комнаты всё поглядываю, загорелся или нет. Нормально мальчишка придумал.

বাবা আজ নিজে থেকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন মেশিনে এক কাপ বানাতে কতক্ষণ লাগে। আমি সময় বললাম, তারপর উনি আরও দুটো প্রশ্ন করলেন। ভালো লাগছিল, কিন্তু মুখে বেশি দেখাইনি। অনেকদিন ধরে চাইছেন দেখবেন, আবার দিন ঠিক করার সময় চুপ হয়ে যান। এবার বললাম আমার শিফটে একদিন আসেন। বললেন দোকান কে দেখবে। সেই পুরোনো কথা, তবু আজ রাগ হলো না, উনি অন্তত জানতে চেয়েছেন। পরে ভাবলাম আমি যদি বেশি বুঝিয়ে বলি, মনে করবেন তাঁর দোকানের চা ছোট করছি। সেটা চাই না। ভাই বলছে সে বাবাকে নিয়ে আসবে। আপাতত কাউকে বলছি না, সত্যি এলে এক কাপ বানিয়ে দেব, ছবি তুলব কি না তখন দেখা যাবে।

A lady from church brought back a serving dish that had belonged to my wife. She apologised for keeping it so long, said it had been at the back of a cupboard and she had only just found it. I remembered the dish before I remembered lending it. My wife used it for peach cobbler, and for a moment I could see her laying a towel over it by the door. I was glad to have it back and sorry in a way I had not expected on an ordinary afternoon. I told the lady she had nothing to apologise for. The dish is on the kitchen table tonight. I have not decided which cupboard it ought to go in.

My daughter asked if she could skip the parish pantry shift with me because her friend had invited her out. I said yes before she finished explaining, then spent the next hour feeling put aside, which was not very fair after such an easy yes. I like having her beside me at the rice table, hearing her talk to people without needing me to translate anything. She still wants to come another time, she said so. I told my sister I was annoyed about losing help and she asked whether we were actually short of volunteers. We weren't. I suppose I had already pictured our morning together and forgotten to check whether she had the same picture.

常連さんが転勤になる言うて、最後にいつもの料理を頼んでくれた。そら寂しいわと言う代わりに、向こうでこんな店探してもないで、と偉そうな冗談を言うてしまった。笑ってくれたからよかったけど、閉店してその人の席を拭いたとき、急にしんみりした。毎週来る人がおらんようになるだけで、来週の店まで少し違う気がする。連絡先は知ってるし、遠くへ行ったら縁が切れるわけでもないのにな。妹に話したら寂しいって本人に言えばよかったやん、と簡単に言われた。それが簡単にできたら、余分な一品を黙って出したりせんねん。まあ、うまそうに食べてくれたし、それは嬉しかった。

今天不带团，早上我还没开口，院子里的鸡先吵起来了，倒省得我开嗓！吃过早饭去巷子里走，没挂小喇叭，腰上轻了，手却老往那个位置摸。平地走着腿还舒服，下石阶时左膝响了一下，我就扶着旁边慢慢下，没人等我集合嘛，不用赶。回来切腌菜，辣椒味一上来，鼻子发热，打了两个喷嚏，婆婆在外面笑我怎么休息也不得安静。喉咙今天不紧，说话不用使劲，我自己听着都觉得声音软一点。下午泡脚，热水刚没过脚踝，小腿那股胀慢慢松了。原来不爬景区台阶，脚也还是会累，不过今天累得没那么急，不用想着明早几点去接人。

filmed my mate trying the same line for ages and thought i was getting the easy job because i wasn't the one falling off. then i stood up properly and my legs were shaking from staying crouched with the camera. had to walk a lap pretending i wanted a different angle. skating actually felt easier after that, just pushing around without trying anything, knees moving instead of locked in one position. at the restaurant later mum asked why i was lowering myself onto a chair like an old man. said training, which wasn't exactly a lie. my sister immediately asked what sport sitting down with a camera belongs to. very supportive household.

The apprentice who opened her own place sent me a photo of her new sign and I was so bloody pleased I showed it to a customer who only wanted to know if his car was ready. Told him about her first week with me, nearly told him the entire apprenticeship. She wrote underneath that I was not allowed to point out the crooked screw. Hadn't noticed it, which may be a first. Now I have, of course. Rang to congratulate her and got the answering machine, so I've left a message with a fairly unnecessary explanation of sign fixings in the middle. She'll know what I meant.

Notre fils a refusé que je lui mette son manteau et a appelé son père avec une conviction assez vexante. J'étais pressée, fatiguée, et j'ai senti monter une vraie irritation, disproportionnée par rapport à deux manches à enfiler. Julien s'en est occupé sans commentaire et j'ai eu envie de lui reprocher que ce soit si facile pour lui. Ce n'était certainement pas facile à chaque fois, mais je ne voulais pas être raisonnable à cet instant-là. Plus tard mon fils s'est installé contre moi avec un livre et j'étais encore un peu contrariée, malgré la tendresse. Je peux connaître les mots pour expliquer cette scène et avoir simplement passé une mauvaise demi-heure dedans.
