Les enfants m'ont attrapé dans la cour pour jouer au ballon avant que je rentre me laver. J'ai dit juste cinq minutes, après c'est moi qui voulais récupérer le ballon pour refaire mon tir. Le petit courait partout et moi je sentais déjà le souffle court, la chemise collée au dos, pourtant au kiosque je peux rester debout toute la journée sans me croire fatigué. Là les jambes devaient aller vite, ce n'est pas le même travail. Quand je me suis assis, ma fille s'est appuyée contre mon bras tout chaud en disant que je transpirais trop. Oui chef, j'avais remarqué. J'ai gardé les pieds nus sur le sol un moment, ça faisait du bien après les chaussures.

সেই চশমা বউদি এসে বলল আগের চুলের ক্লিপটা এখনও আছে, মেয়ে নিয়ে গেছে বলে আরেকটা লাগবে। ভাল জিনিস দিয়েছিলে দিদি, এইটুকু শুনে মনটা বেশ হল। সারাদিন সবাই বলে অন্য দোকানে কম, এত দাম কেন, ভেঙে যাবে না তো, তার মধ্যে একজন মনে করে ফিরে এসেছে! দুটো রং দেখালাম, ও নিজের জন্য যেটা নিল সেটা পরে কেমন লাগছে আমাকেই জিজ্ঞেস করল। মাসি পাশ থেকে বলল আজ তোমার দর কষার গলা শুনলাম না। বললাম ভাল কাস্টমারের সঙ্গে ভাল কথাই বলি। কিন্তু ছাড় চাইলে দিতাম না, প্রশংসা ভাল লাগা আর লাভ ছেড়ে দেওয়া দুটো আলাদা ব্যাপার বাপু।

Lena hat mir den Grundriss von einem Haus gezeigt. Ich hab zuerst nur geschaut wie weit es vom Werk weg wäre, sie hat von Küche und einer Tür geredet die wirklich nur uns gehört. Die Tür hab ich nicht verstanden, hier oben haben wir auch eine. Sie meinte dass unten keiner merkt wann wir heimkommen oder was es bei uns zum Essen gibt. Jetzt weiß ich wenigstens was sie damit meint. Ob ich das selber brauche weiß ich nicht. Im Wald hab ich überlegt wie oft ich einfach nach unten gehe ohne anzuklopfen. Bei den Eltern ist das normal. Für Lena wahrscheinlich nicht. Den Grundriss hab ich noch nicht weggelegt.

Estoy pensando cómo explicar las fracciones sin que se me queden mirando como si estuviera hablando por una radio mal sintonizada. He pensado llevar una tortilla y repartirla, que eso lo entienden, pero entre los que no quieren cebolla y los que pedirán más vamos a acabar discutiendo la receta. La de Lengua dice que dibuje un círculo, tan tranquila ella. A mí se me ocurre que hagamos el reparto con papeles de colores y que sean ellos los que protesten si uno tiene más. Ya estoy imaginando al Peque de juez. Tengo que preparar las tiras antes, porque como me ponga a recortar allí no damos ni los medios.

My wife asked what I actually mean when I say we'd have more family time if we opened another studio. Fair question! In my head the new place has somebody good running it from day one, while the original place somehow needs less of me. On paper there's hiring and another lease and a whole lot I haven't put on my little napkin plan. I still like the idea. I also like being home for dinner, and those aren't automatically the same plan just because I keep saying they are. Tonight I drew two weekly schedules instead of another floor layout. Both have me in two places on Tuesday. Going to need a bigger adjustment than a second napkin.

J'ai voulu changer seule deux pots de place au jardin, en estimant leur poids d'un regard beaucoup trop généreux pour mes mains. Ce n'est pas le dos qui a protesté, mais la prise : les doigts tenaient mal le rebord et j'ai dû reposer le second pot sur le chemin. Il y est encore. À soixante et onze ans, je sais fort bien qu'il existe des limites, je les expose même volontiers aux autres, mais les rencontrer au milieu d'une besogne toute simple m'agace. J'ai fini le désherbage assise, les mains moins serrées sur l'outil. Mon fils passera déplacer le pot demain. Je lui ai demandé sans ajouter que j'aurais pu le faire, ce qui constitue un petit effort supplémentaire.

решил посмотреть одно задание по обществу до работы, чтобы мама не спрашивала вечером, делал ли хоть что-нибудь. надо привести примеры, и я нормально понимаю, о чём речь, пока не надо написать это человеческими словами на листе. пример из пункта выдачи вроде подходит, только получается рассказ про тётю Лену, возврат и злую женщину, а вопрос вообще про другое. зачеркнул женщину, стало скучнее, но правильнее, кажется. теперь думаю, сколько таких примеров можно держать в голове, если брать не учебник, а то, что каждый день происходит. главное на экзамене случайно не написать «клиентка устроила треш». хотя это было бы точно.

Trying to decide where to put a bench by the lots because people keep sitting on my empty crates, which stop being empty when I need them. Got a spot in mind, then remembered the shade moves and it'll be full sun right when somebody wants to sit. Move it nearer the fence and now it's in the way of the hose. My son said just move the bench when you need to. I told him I'm not adding bench transport to the day's work. He looked at the wheeled garden cart. Fine. I see the point. Still want it somewhere that doesn't turn into a gathering place while I'm trying to load the truck.

Mum sent a photo of my sister with a cake she'd made herself. The icing was crooked and she'd written my name along one side because they were pretending I was there for tea. Bit rough, seeing that in a car park on my own. I sent back a complaint about my slice being the smallest. She called immediately to argue it wasn't cut yet. We talked for ten minutes, mostly rubbish, and I felt better than I had after a whole morning of people being perfectly polite in the back seat. Nearly told her that. Asked whether the cake was dry instead. She said come and find out, then had to go.

বাবার সঙ্গে ফোনে কথা বলতে গিয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, ছোটবেলায় যে বইটা বারবার পড়তাম তার নাম মনে আছে কি না, একটা ছেলে রাতে বাড়ি থেকে বেরিয়ে নদীর ধারে যেত। বাবা তিনটে নাম বললেন, একটাও মিলল না। অদ্ভুত ব্যাপার, বইয়ের মলাটের ছেঁড়া কোণ মনে আছে, লাইব্রেরির কোন তাকে ছিল তাও, অথচ ছেলেটার নাম নেই। এখন ভাবছি গল্পে সত্যিই নদী ছিল, না অন্য বইয়ের নদী এতে ঢুকিয়েছি? বাবা বললেন আমি নাকি গল্প বানিয়ে তাঁকে বই খুঁজতে বলছি। হতে পারে! পুরনো স্কুলের বইগুলো কোথায় গেছে জানতে ইচ্ছে করছে, অঙ্কের হিসাব ভুল হলে ধরা যায়, এই স্মৃতির ভুলটা ধরব কী দিয়ে।
