Mama sent a picture of her Sunday plate while I was eating a sandwich beside a hotel ice machine, which was rude of her honestly. Not the picture, the fact that I could practically taste her food and hear everybody talking over each other. I called expecting five minutes and stayed on while she packed leftovers I won't be there to collect. I'm happy flying, I really am, but I felt left out when my sister mentioned a whole story everybody already knew. I made them tell it again. They complained, then Mama started from the very beginning, holding the phone so close I could only see one eye.

Je trie les photos d'un mariage et je m'obstine avec deux images presque pareilles. Sur une, tout est bien placé, sur l'autre le marié fait une face bizarre mais la mariée rit pour vrai. Je sais laquelle je mettrais dans mon portfolio, sauf que c'est leur album, pas juste ma démonstration que je sais cadrer. J'ai montré les deux à mon chum et il a choisi celle qui riait, sans réfléchir une seconde. J'aimerais avoir cette vitesse-là quand je regarde mes propres images. À la place j'agrandis les coins, je vérifie une main, je trouve un défaut neuf. J'ai gardé les deux pour l'instant. Oui, encore des photos en plus du contrat.

آج کیب میں فون بیگ میں ہی رکھا۔ باہر دیکھتے ہوئے متلی نہیں ہوئی، بس سگنل پر رکنے سے دھوپ سیدھی چہرے پر آ رہی تھی۔ کھڑکی کی طرف سے ہٹ کر بیٹھی تو کندھا بھی سیٹ پر ٹھیک سے لگ گیا۔ عام طور پر گھر کی چیزوں کی فہرست بناتی رہتی ہوں اور گردن نیچے رہتی ہے۔ آج گھر پہنچ کر وہ کھنچاؤ کم تھا۔ بیٹی نے دروازے پر اپنا بستہ پکڑا دیا، میں نے کہا پہلے مجھے جوتے اتارنے دو۔ پانی پیا تو معلوم ہوا کافی پیاس لگی تھی۔ دفتر میں بوتل آدھی رہ گئی تھی، یاد ہی نہیں رہا۔ شام کی چائے بھی بیٹھ کر پی، کپ ٹھنڈا ہونے سے پہلے۔

One of my clients told me about a dance she went to when she was young, and every time I thought the story was finished there was another man she hadn't mentioned yet. I laughed so hard she started laughing at me. Usually people ask her about her meals, her appointments, how she's managing, all necessary things. Today she was just a woman telling a funny story and enjoying her audience. I felt fond of her in a different way, less protective, more like sitting with my aunt. When I left she said she had plenty more where that came from. I believe her. It put me in a good mood all the way to the bus, even with the bus taking its own sweet time.

I am sorting the grandchildren's drawings and trying to decide what goes on the fridge next. Seven children produce a fair amount of paper, and I do not want one looking round on Sunday and finding everyone there except themselves. I started putting their names and dates in order, then found a drawing with neither, which appears to be a cow or possibly our lawnmower. Hubby voted cow. I shall ask without making a competition of it. There are more in the drawer than I remembered. The large purple one takes up half the door, but moving that would mean moving the calendar as well.

Mi nieta me llamó para contarme que había encontrado un poema por su cuenta, sin que yo se lo hubiera dejado cerca ni le hubiera dicho que era muy bueno. Me hizo una ilusión enorme escucharla leer, con alguna pausa donde yo no la habría puesto, pero callé. Cuesta creerlo, ya sé. Después me preguntó qué pensaba y hablamos un buen rato, sin deberes que entregar ni tildes que corregir. Me gustó que quisiera compartirlo conmigo porque sí. Al colgar fui a contárselo a Amparo y me dijo que tenía cara de haber ganado a las cartas. Mejor, bastante mejor, aunque no pienso decirlo en la partida porque luego se me suben a las barbas.

جاتني وحدة بغات التعديل بسرعة والثمن نقصاتو قبل ما تشوف حتى شحال فيه من الخدمة. كنت غادي نقول واخا بحال ديما، ومن بعد تفكرت أنني غادي نسهر ونخلي خدمة سيدة أخرى وعدتها من قبل. شرحت ليها شنو خاص يتحل ويتعاود، وقبلات الثمن ولكن بقات كتسول واش نقدر نسالي بكري. هادي هي اللي حيرتني، أنا كنحسب الخيط والثوب وما كنحسبش وقت عيني ويدي. خديت ورقة وكتبت شنو خاصني نسالي الأول، باش ما نبقاش كل وحدة دخلات هي اللي مستعجلة أكثر. الصبر ماشي هو نعطي وعد ما نقدرش عليه، ولكن ملي كتكون الزبونة قدامي كنلقى راسي كنقول ليها إن شاء الله قبل ما نشوف الوقت اللي عندي.

Дочь попросила отвезти её с подругой за покупками и сказала, что обратно я могу выбрать музыку. Обычно сразу просит выключить. Поставил старое, они сзади стали подпевать неправильно и смеяться. Я тоже посмеялся, хотя песню испортили полностью. Хорошо съездили. Дочь потом спросила, не устал ли я ждать у магазина. Нет, нормально было, взял кофе. Почему-то приятно, что спросила, хотя я сам предложил подождать. Дома жена сказала, что у меня вид довольный. Так и есть. Купили они одну кофту на двоих примеренную раз двадцать, зато дорога была хорошая.

O Gabriel perguntou por que a gente guarda foto só no celular se eu vivo falando pros clientes fazerem cópia. Fui mostrar as nossas e achei três pastas com o mesmo nome, cada uma com um tanto diferente de arquivo. Belo técnico, né. Tentei lembrar qual era a última e não lembrei. Agora quero organizar sem apagar nada por engano, porque foto repetida dá raiva, mas foto perdida dá bem mais. Pensei em separar por ano, só que tem arquivo com data errada de câmera velha. A Dani reconhece a idade das crianças melhor que o computador reconhece a data. Vou precisar dela sentada do lado, não tem peça que resolva essa parte.

bloke on the detecting forum reckons he never digs a signal unless he's certain it's worth it. i'd like to borrow his certainty. had one sunday that sounded decent and it was a bit of folded foil, then an ugly signal a few yards on that turned out to be an old buckle. nothing valuable, still kept it. you can spend all morning guessing what somebody dropped or take the spade and find out. he has pictures of silver on his page so perhaps he knows summat i don't. no pictures of his rubbish though. my jar's nearly full again. ought to empty it, but it's not doing any harm on the windowsill.
