Emotion
Quiz team argued over a pudding question. Rice pudding was my answer and they put something else because the younger lad sounded certain. Rice pudding came up on the sheet. I said nowt at first. Let them look at it. Then I said perhaps next week they could ask someone who has made a few. All laughed and bought my drink. I were pleased with that. We still finished fourth but it would have been third if they had listened. Told our lass on the way home. She said I had mentioned the third place already. Worth mentioning again I thought.
Mind
School wants the serving spoons kept in a different drawer. The new cook says they are closer to the hatch that way. They are. But now you have to cross behind whoever is carrying the trays to fetch one. Been thinking whether to say something or just take the lot out before service. Used to have them where you could reach without moving your feet. I know every drawer in that kitchen and sometimes reach for things at home in the wrong place. Our lass says that might explain the salt in the tea cupboard. Tomorrow I will try putting the spoons out first. Less faffing.
Body
Went down to bowls after lunch. Green were a bit damp but no trouble. First few deliveries I could feel the left knee when I bent forward. Took me a while to get comfortable then I stopped noticing it. Our lass says I only mention it when there is a job upstairs. Not true. Coming home I had that warm feeling right through my legs and my hands were cold from the evening air. Slippers on at the back door. Sat down for tea and could have stayed there all night. Got up to check the shed was shut and found I was walking quite well. No sense testing it twice.
