Body
goat fed and apparently offended by the service, then volleyball where my fingers felt fine until we switched to the faster drill and i remembered every jammed one by name. not actual names but i could assign some rude ones. once i got moving my legs felt good though, the nice tired where i know what i did instead of the standing-by-a-freezer tired after a shift. drove home with the window down and cold air on my face, still warm under the sweatshirt. dad asked why i was holding my sandwich weird. showed him the tape and he nodded, no speech. my brother offered to finish the sandwich if eating was too difficult. healthcare in this family is incredible
Mind
i'm writing an ffa piece and keep deleting the part about the borrowed goat because i don't want the story to turn into people being impressed i did something without owning everything. it's supposed to be about showing the animal, not a scholarship essay with hooves. but taking that detail out makes it sound like i had my own place to keep him, and uncle did a lot. tried writing what he actually helped with, plain, no inspirational music. better. still need to cut forty words. asked mom which sentence sounded most dramatic and she picked my favourite one immediately, so that was a useful and personally offensive editing session
Emotion
referee guy texted first and it was about a game, obviously, nobody is declaring anything in this thrilling documentary. still checked the name twice before opening it like another person might have the same number. i was happy in a stupid way and then annoyed at myself for being happy over twelve words, which seems like unnecessary extra work. told mom somebody had sent a funny clip and she said okay with a face that did not mean okay. replied without insulting the referee for once. now there's a normal conversation sitting on my phone and i keep rereading my own answer to see if it sounds normal. the goat has more social confidence and eats paper
